In an over-saturated ‘Educator’ market, I wasted a lot of money on :
- Presets that didn’t work or look remotely close to what I thought I was purchasing
- Educator Courses that felt ‘Copy-Paste’ & never developed my skills or business
- Slammed doors by other photographers whenever I asked for advice or recommendations.
On top of all that, the processes I used were said to be ‘Amateur’, ‘Unprofessional’, and ‘Wrong.’
I shoot most weddings with just one photographer (me) & one camera
I post my actual prices on my website
I don’t charge extra if I stay late at a wedding because speeches went too long or the dance floor didn’t get poppin’ until later
I send re-edits of their portraits if my style changes or evolves & I still have their raws (Even 2 years later!)
As much as I believe my photos are my intellectual property, I am shooting real weddings and real people - their wants, needs, and requests are more important than what my contract says.
